Section 70:03:01:61.05 - Longer combination vehicle - Limitations due to weather and highway conditions

A LCV may not be operated under the following conditions:

(1) When road surfaces because of rain, ice, snow, slush, or frost present a slippery condition which may be hazardous to the operation of the LCV or to other highway users;
(2) When wind, other weather conditions, or equipment conditions cause part of the LCV to swerve, whip, sway, or fail to follow within one foot of the path of the power unit, excluding low-speed offtracking; or
(3) When visibility is reduced by snow, ice, sleet, fog, mist, rain, dust, or smoke.

The highway patrol may restrict or prohibit operations during periods when, in its judgment, traffic, weather, or other safety conditions make travel unsafe.
