Section 67:62:14:01 - Training required for commitment process

A qualified mental health professional, except a physician licensed pursuant to SDCL 36-4, shall participate in training and pass an examination, in order to complete examinations that are part of the commitment process under SDCL 27A-10-6, in accordance with SDCL 27A-1-7.

Training and examinations may be held in person or via an online course available through the department.
