Any center accredited by the department must be established as a nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of South Dakota. A copy of the articles of incorporation or a nonprofit organization must be filed with the department before a certificate of approval is issued. A nonprofit center must submit a copy of the letter of exemption from the Internal Revenue Service to the department.
