Section 67:61:14:01 - Eligibility criteriaTo be eligible for intensive outpatient program services:
(1) The client must be at minimal risk of severe withdrawal;(2) The client either has no or has very stable biomedical conditions, which are not a distraction from treatment;(3) The client has mild emotional, behavioral, or cognitive conditions, which may distract from recovery and need monitoring; and(4) The client must meet one of the following: (a) The client has variable engagement in treatment, ambivalence, or a lack of awareness of the substance use or mental health problem, and requirement of a structured program to promote progress through the stages of change;(b) The client's substance use or mental health symptoms, or both, have intensified and indicate a high-likelihood of relapse or continued use, without close monitoring or support; or(c) The client has a non-supportive recovery environment, but is able to cope with structure and support.S.D.
