A family foster home shall be equipped with a smoke detector which shall be provided on each level of the building. Audible alarm indicating devices shall be designed and distributed so as to be effectively heard above the maximum noise level obtained under normal conditions of occupancy. Foster parents shall have an evacuation plan and shall teach it to each child. Foster parents shall conduct a fire drill each time a child enters care to ensure that all children understand the procedures.
