Section 67:17:02:16 - Informal resolution

Any time before a final decision is entered, the department may take action to resolve the case. If the appellant is not represented by an attorney, the department may contact the appellant directly. If the appellant is represented by an attorney, department contact is limited to the appellant's attorney. If the department resolves the case, the department must inform the hearing examiner immediately.
