Section 67:14:24:06 - Children for whom interstate placement is appropriateInterstate placement of children is appropriate when:
(1) The department or licensed child-placing agency retains jurisdiction over a child living with foster parents or relatives who are moving to another state;(2) A suitable adoptive home is not available for a child in the state in which the child has been living;(3) A child requires special treatment facilities which are not available in the child's resident state;(4) A child has familial ties to relatives living in a different state; or(5) A child has previously established relationships with a nonrelated family in another state.S.D.
