Portable fire extinguishers must be provided on each level and near food processing equipment. Fire extinguishers must be a minimum of a 2A rating, as identified on the extinguisher label, and may serve no more than 2,000 square feet with a travel distance of not greater than 75 feet to an extinguisher.
