Section 50:01:02:06 - Membership

Membership in the Camp Rapid open mess is voluntary. Persons eligible for membership may not be requested to give reasons for declining membership. Membership is confined to the following categories:

(1) Active membership, active members of the South Dakota national guard;

(2) Associate membership, members of the regular military establishment and nonmilitary technicians, national guard employees, retired persons, adult dependents of active members, and unremarried widows of deceased national guard personnel;

(3) Honorary membership, those persons designated by the board of governors who do not pay dues, confined to a limited number of individuals who make outstanding contributions to the national guard community, e.g., distinguished local governmental, civil, and business community officials. Persons eligible for active or associate membership may not be extended honorary membership.
