All payments made for rental charges and unreturned deposits shall be transmitted monthly to the adjutant general for deposit in the special militia fund. A copy of the lease shall be sent with the payment. Rent shall be collected in advance of occupancy or use by the lessee and shall be paid by certified check made payable to the state of South Dakota. The armory control board is accountable for all funds and payments made incidental to the rental of the facility.
All armory rental accounts shall be inspected by the adjutant general at least every 24 months.
