The executive director shall designate the type of equipment to be used in the random selection of the winning combination for each type of on-line game. The lottery shall provide for backup drawing equipment to be used if the primary drawing equipment malfunctions or fails for any reason. The equipment used to determine the winning combination may not be electronically or otherwise connected to the central computer or to any tapes, discs, or files generated by the central computer. The equipment shall be tested prior to and after each drawing to assure proper operation and no tampering or fraud. Drawings may not be held until all preinspection checks are completed. No prizes may be paid until after all postinspection checks have been completed.
