Video lottery machines may be placed and operated within the exterior boundaries of Indian reservations in the state. The placement and operation of any video lottery machine is subject to the provisions of this article, SDCL chapter 42-7 A, and the terms of the compacts made between the respective tribal governments and the state pursuant to the authority contained in the federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, 25 U.S.C. § 2710 (3)(A) (1988).
