Section 48:02:08:04 - Software requirements for continuation of game after malfunction

Each game must be capable of continuing the current game with all current game features after a machine malfunction is cleared. This rule does not apply if a machine is rendered totally inoperable; however, the current wager and all credits appearing on the screen prior to the malfunction must be returned to the player.
