Section 44:79:10:27 - Emergency electrical service

Each facility shall have a Type 2, Essential Electrical System in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 99 Health Care Facilities Code, 2012 Edition). Automatic emergency lighting shall also be provided at staff work station, medication room, room where main electrical panel is located, and boiler room.

Emergency electrical service shall be provided from an automatic generator set and automatic transfer switches serving emergency panels.
