Section 44:70:03:01 - Fire safety code requirements

Each facility must meet applicable fire safety standards in NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, 2012 edition. An automatic sprinkler system is not required in an existing facility unless significant renovations or remodeling occurs, provided that any existing automatic sprinkler system must remain in service. An attic heat detection system is not required in an existing facility unless significant renovations or remodeling occurs.
