Each emergency medical service shall develop and implement a local emergency medical service transport plan for the transport of trauma team alert patients. The LEMSTP shall be approved by each participating health care entity named in the plan and the medical director of the emergency medical service. The final LEMSTP shall be submitted to the department for approval. The LEMSTP shall be updated and submitted to the department at least every five years, and if the LEMSTP is revised.
