Section 44:02:07:12 - Release of employee from restriction or exclusion by the regulatory authorityThe regulatory authority may release an employee from restriction or exclusion based on medical documentation from a physician or the following conditions:
(1) An employee who was infected with Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., or Escherichia coli O157:H7 if the employee's stools are negative for Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., or E. coli O157:H7 based on testing of two consecutive stool specimen cultures that are taken:(a) Not earlier than 48 hours after discontinuance of antibiotics; and(b) At least 24 hours apart; or(2) An employee who was infected with hepatitis A virus if:(a) Symptoms cease a week after onset of jaundice; or(b) At least two blood tests show falling liver enzymes.S.D.
