Section 24:28:09:02 - Permit restrictions

The following restrictions apply to educator permits:

(1) A teacher, administrator, or education specialist certificate or endorsement may not be added to the permit unless the individual has completed the required preparation program; and

(2) A performing artist permit may not be issued to individuals who have a degree in education but have not satisfactorily completed the requirements of student teaching, passage of the state-designated content test, or passage of the state-designated pedagogy test.
