Section 24:28:06:01 - Certificate for teaching assignment required

A person employed as a teacher of record, not to include a long-term substitute teacher, in grades kindergarten to 12 or early childhood special education in a public or department-accredited school shall hold a certificate valid for the positions to which the teacher is assigned.
