Section 20:80:09:09 - Failure to renew by deadline for trainee recognition status

Any trainee who fails to submit the renewal application and fee by the expiration of the trainee's status automatically loses recognition status and may not be identified as an addiction counselor trainee or prevention specialist trainee. Any trainee who has allowed the trainee recognition status to lapse may reinstate the status within thirty days of the expiration date, providing the trainee:

(1) Requests reinstatement;
(2) Submits the renewal application and all applicable documentation; and
(3) Pays the reinstatement fee and the renewal fee.

Any trainee wanting to reinstate status after the thirty day reinstatement period shall successfully complete three of the courses required for either CPS, CAC, or LAC before submitting a renewal application for recognition status.
