Section 20:04:33:07.02 - Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)If a power failure occurs, the totalizator computer system used by the hub must be supported by an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to allow for system shutdown that provides a means for:
(1) All wagering data in the computer at the time of the power failure and system shutdown to remain intact and all race and end-of-day reports to be produced;(2) The UPS to be able to supply even power to the totalizator system, for a minimum of 15 minutes, when a power surge or drop occurs; and(3) An alarm associated with the UPS to be readily recognizable by the totalizator operator from inside the totalizator room.S.D.
