Section 2:09:01:02 - Deadline for seizure reporting

The law enforcement agency must file the seizure report within 10 days from the date the property was seized. Any seizure report filed after the time prescribed will be declined by the South Dakota Office of the Attorney General and the forfeiture action will not be initiated.
