Section 2:01:06:02.02 - Tolling of temporary or probationary appointment period

A noncertified law enforcement officer who:

(1) Has not completed twelve cumulative months of service under a temporary/probationary appointment:

(2) Separates from a law enforcement agency prior to the expiration of the officer's twelvemonth temporary or probationary period: and

(3) Is reappointed to the same agency or appointed to another agency within three years from date of first appointment-shall be charged with the amount of time served during the previous appointment(s) and allowed the remaining balance to complete the training program required by § 2:01:06:01.
