Section 815-RICR-00-00-1.11 - ServiceA. Service Upon Parties 1. A copy of all pleadings and other documents filed in any proceeding governed by these rules shall be served upon all other parties. If a party appears after the original documents have been filed, a copy of all papers previously filed shall be furnished to such party on request. Service shall also be effected on any other person designated to receive service by the Administrator, the Administration and Operations Officer, the Hearing Officer or the Clerk.B. Manner of Service 1. Unless otherwise ordered by the Administrator or the Hearing Officer, service under these rules shall be made upon a party or participant or upon his or her attorney, if an appearance has been entered, by first class mail, express delivery or hand-delivery to his or her place of business, or by electronic service if the parties agree that it is appropriate.C. Receipt to Govern1. In addition to the provision of § 1.10(A) of this Part, the time for response shall commence on the date of receipt by mail, express delivery, or hand delivery. By agreement, parties may use the date of facsimile transmission to comply with this Rule.D. Certificate of Service 1. There shall accompany and be attached to the original of each paper filed with the Division in a proceeding a certificate of service, showing service on all parties.815 R.I.
