Section 445-RICR-00-00-1.33 - PetitionsA. General - Petitions for relief under any statute or other authority designated to the Board shall be in writing, shall state clearly and concisely the petitioner's grounds of interest in the subject matter, the facts relied upon, and the relief sought, and shall cite by appropriate reference the statutory provision or other authority relied upon for relief. Seven (7) copies shall be filed with the original.B. Petitions for Issuance, Amendment, or Repeal of Rules1. A petition for the issuance, amendment or repeal of a rule by the Board shall, in addition to the requirements of § 1.33(A) of this Part above, set forth the specific rule, amendment or repeal requested, and state in detail with citations to appropriate references, the reasons for the requested action. Seven (7) copies shall be filed with the original.2. Upon submission of such a petition, the Board will within thirty (30) days, either deny the petition in writing or initiate rule-making procedures in accordance with R.I. Gen. Laws § 42-35-8 shall set forth the rule or statutory provision in question and shall state in detail, with appropriate citations, whether the rule or provisions should or should not apply.445 R.I.
