Section 260-RICR-40-05-1.33 - Counsel FeesA. In appeals from a director's determination to an appeals body other than a court of law, if a claimant retains an attorney at-law to represent him or her, the attorney shall be entitled to a counsel fee of ten (10%) percent of amount of the benefits at issue before the appeals body but not less than fifty ($50.00) dollars, which the director shall pay out of the employment security administrative funds; provided, however, the attorney-at-law must submit his or her request for a counsel fee to the director not later than two (2) years from a final adjudication of the case by the appeals body. Any requests for counsel fees after the two (2) year period will not be allowed by the director.260 R.I. Code R. 260-RICR-40-05-1.33
