Section 260-RICR-10-00-5.2 - PurposeA. These rules ("hereinafter, Rules" or "Regulations") are adopted for the purpose of assisting in carrying out the functions, powers and duties assigned to the Department of Labor & Training (hereinafter, Department"), whether in effect prior to or subsequent to the adoption of these Rules.B. These Rules shall govern the conduct of adjudicatory proceedings commenced before the Department after their effective date. These Rules shall be liberally construed to further the fair, prompt and orderly administration and determination of adjudicatory proceedings in conformity with the Rhode Island Administrative Procedures Act. To the extent that any part of these Rules are inconsistent with applicable law or the terms of any other rule or regulation promulgated by the Department, the applicable law and/or the terms of such other rule or regulation shall be deemed to apply.260 R.I.
