Section 250-RICR-130-00-1.2 - Purpose and GoalsA. These Regulations are intended to:1. Assure the protection of public health, safety, and welfare and the environment by promoting compliance and deterring noncompliance with the laws administered by the Director, and the Rules, Regulations, permits, licenses and orders adopted pursuant to the Director's authority;2. Assure that the Department assesses administrative penalties, and otherwise implements its Regulations, lawfully, fairly, and consistently;3. Clarify the Department's authority to enforce the laws administered by the Director and the Rules, Regulations, permits, licenses, and orders adopted pursuant to the Director's authority.250 R.I.
