Section 230-RICR-30-30-6.2 - PurposeA. This Part is adopted to assist the Department of Business Regulation ("Department") in carrying out the administration and enforcement of the terms and provisions of the Act. In the development of this Part, the Department's policy purposes are: 1. To protect the health, safety and well-being of the competitors;2. To protect and promote the integrity of events for the benefit of the consuming public; and3. To protect the collection of the tax levied upon events by the State of Rhode Island in accordance with R.I. Gen. Laws § 41-5.2-27.B. This Part shall be liberally construed and applied to effectuate and promote the stated policy purposes.230 R.I. Code R. 230-RICR-30-30-6.2
