Section 216-RICR-50-05-5.3 - Board of CertificationA. The Board shall have all the powers and duties specified in R.I. Gen. Laws § 23-65-3.B. All meetings of the Board shall be open to the public in accordance with R.I. Gen. Laws Chapter 42-46.C. The Board shall meet at least quarterly. The chairperson of the Board may call special meetings if, in his/her judgment, circumstances require it. Special meetings may also be called on petition of three (3) members of the Board.D. A quorum for the conduct of business at any meeting of the Board shall consist of four (4) members. Three (3) members of the Board at a regular or special meeting may receive and review reports, applications and other correspondence.E. Majority Vote of the Board means the majority of the membership. The Board shall elect annually, by majority vote, one (1) chairperson, one (1) vice chairperson, and one (1) secretary.F. The term of office of the Board Members shall be as provided in R.I. Gen. Laws § 23-65-2(b).G. The chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the Board, shall sign all official documents of the Board, and shall act as the spokesperson for the Board. In the absence of the chairperson, the vice chairperson shall preside at meetings and perform all duties usually performed by the chairperson.216 R.I. Code R. 216-RICR-50-05-5.3
