Section 216-RICR-10-10-1.30 - Marriage SolemnizationA. The persons to be married shall present the valid marriage license, signed by both of them and by the local registrar of the place of issuance, to the officiant, who shall be a person empowered to join persons in marriage pursuant to the provisions of R.I. Gen. Laws §§ 15-3-5 and 15-3-6.B. The presence of at least two (2) witnesses of legal age other than the officiant is required for the solemnization of a marriage.216 R.I. Code R. 216-RICR-10-10-1.30
