Section 180-RICR-10-00-3.1 - AuthorityA. The Director of Veterans Affairs is authorized under R.I. Gen. Laws § 30-24-2 to establish appropriate rules and regulations for the government and management of the Rhode Island Veterans Home.B. The Director of Veterans Affairs has delegated responsibility for these rules and regulations to the Administrator of the Rhode Island Veterans Home. C. These regulations adhere to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.G. § 200 d, etseq.) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.G. § 794), and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services implementing regulations (45 G.F.R. Parts 80 and 84).D. The Office of Veterans Affairs does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, or handicap in acceptance for or provision of services or employment in its programs and activities.
