Section 193.1 - Pari-mutuel wagering(a) All licensed racing entities shall use a pari-mutuel ticket machine for the sale of pari-mutuel tickets, unless otherwise authorized by the Commission. All licensed racing entities or other approved entities shall be required to use totalisator systems licensed by the Commission. (1) No electronic calculator may be deemed one of approved design unless it is capable of registering by automatic electronic or mechanical means on central aggregators all wagers made on each horse, entry, or the field, in each of the straight, place and show pools, and displaying the totals so registered in a way as to permit ready tabulation thereof by the representative of the Commission.(b) The controls necessary to operate the Odds Board in the infield, relative to the way the horses finish, (if the finish is being contested, if there is a photo, dead-heat, time of race) are to be located in the Judges or Stewards' stand and controlled only by the Judges or Stewards.
