Section 185.82 - Witnesses and subpoenas(a) Witnesses at all hearings shall be examined orally under oath or affirmation and a record of the proceeding shall be made and kept by the Commission. If any witness resides outside the Commonwealth, or through illness or other cause is unable to testify before the Commission or its trial examiner, his testimony may be taken within or without this Commonwealth in a manner substantially similar to that prescribed by the Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure for the taking of depositions.(b) Subpoenas as authorized by law shall be issued in blank over the seal of the Commission to any party, upon demand made to the Commission in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.(c) Witness and mileage fees shall be paid by the party at whose instance the witnesses are called.
