Section 3270.19 - Child abuse reporting(a) An operator or a staff person who has reason to believe that a child enrolled in the facility has been abused is required to report suspected child abuse to ChildLine as mandated by the CPSL.(b) A facility person who has reasonable cause to suspect that a child is a victim of child abuse shall immediately make a report of suspected child abuse to ChildLine through the hotline at (800) 932-0313, online, or any other method as prescribed by the Department.(c) Within 48 hours, a written report regarding the suspected child abuse shall be submitted by the operator or designated staff person to the CPS unit which has responsibility for investigating the report.The provisions of this §3270.19 amended December 18, 2020, effective 12/19/2020, 50 Pa.B. 7133.The provisions of this §3270.19 amended under Articles IX and X of the Human Services Code (62 P.S. §§ 901-922 and 1001-1088).
