Section 2380.114 - Communicable diseases(a) If a staff person or volunteer has a serious communicable disease as defined in 28 Pa. Code §27.2 (relating to specific identified reportable diseases, infections and conditions) to the extent that confidentiality laws permit reporting, or a medical problem which might interfere with the health, safety or well-being of the individuals, written authorization from a licensed physician is required for the person to be present at the facility.(b) Written authorization from a licensed physician shall include a statement that the person will not pose a serious threat to the health, safety or well-being of the individuals and specific instructions and precautions to be taken for the protection of the individuals at the facility.(c) The physician's written instructions and precautions shall be followed.The provisions of this §2380.114 adopted January 15, 1993, effective 1/16/1993, 23 Pa.B. 343.
