Section 39.196 - Inspections and repairs(a) Electrical utilization equipment shall comply with this chapter when placed in service, and shall thereafter be periodically inspected, and when necessary, cleaned. Defective equipment shall be put in good order or permanently disconnected. Defective wiring, if hazardous, shall be repaired or removed.(b) Repairs, extensions, and changes shall be made to existing utilization equipment and conductors only by properly qualified persons.
