Section 82.17 - Reports to the Commissioner(a) An insurer authorized to transact the business of variable life insurance in this Commonwealth shall submit to the Commissioner, in addition to other materials which may be required by this chapter or other applicable laws or regulations, the following documents:(1) An annual statement of the business of its separate accounts in a form as may be prescribed by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.(2) Prior to use in this Commonwealth, information furnished to applicants as provided for in § 82.61 (relating to information for applicants).(3) Prior to use in this Commonwealth, the form of the reports to policyholders as provided for in §§ 82.72-82.74 (relating to policy statements; separate account statements; and warning statements for flexible premium policies).(4) Additional information concerning its variable life insurance operations or its separate accounts as the Commissioner deems necessary.(b) Material submitted to the Commissioner under this section will be disapproved if it is found to be false, misleading, deceptive or inaccurate in a material respect and, if previously distributed, the Commissioner will require the distribution of amended material.The provisions of this § 82.17 adopted August 4, 1978, effective 9/5/1978, 8 Pa.B. 2171; amended April 28, 1989, effective 4/29/1989, 19 Pa.B. 1835; corrected June 30, 1989, effective retroactive to April 29, 1989, 19 Pa.B. 2754.
