(a) The director of the obstetrical services must be a member of the medical staff who is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or an equivalent Board or who is eligible for Board certification or has successfully completed an approved residency training program in obstetrics-gynecology. The director of the obstetrical service, in cooperation with a committee of staff physicians, nurses, administrators, and other relevant personnel, shall establish policies for the proper conduct of the service.(b) A designated physician who is experienced in the practice of obstetrics shall be on call at all times for consultation and obstetrical emergencies.(c) A designated physician who is experienced in the practice of anesthesiology shall be on call at all times for consultation and anesthesia emergencies.
