Section 236.149 - Natural resources(a) A disposal site shall be located so that resources, such as those protected by law, those suitable for human consumption and those culturally or historically unique, can be protected during siting, design, construction, operation, closure, decommissioning and long term care.(b) A disposal site may not be located where exploration or exploitation of natural resources, such as hydrocarbons, industrial minerals, metallic ores and mineral fuels located on the site or in adjacent areas could affect isolation of waste or, the ability to meet the performance objectives in Subchapter A (relating to general provisions).
