Section 228.32a - Shielding and safety design requirements(a) The licensee shall consult a qualified expert for radiation protection concerning the shielding design of an accelerator installation.(b) An accelerator facility shall have primary and secondary protective barriers that are necessary to assure compliance with 10 CFR Part 20 , Subpart D (relating to dose limits for individual members of the public).The provisions of this §228.32a adopted October 2, 1998, effective 10/3/1998, 28 Pa.B. 4894; amended July 16, 2004, effective 7/17/2004, 34 Pa.B. 3823.
