Section 88.324 - Revegetation: introduced speciesThe use of introduced species in the revegetation process may be approved by the Department under the following conditions:
(1) The species have been proven acceptable through field trials to be capable of providing permanent vegetation and are desirable and necessary to achieve the approved postmining land use.(2) The species are necessary to achieve a quick, temporary and stabilizing cover that aids in controlling erosion.(3) The species are compatible with the plant and animal species of the region.(4) The species meet the requirements of applicable State and Federal seed or introduced species statutes and are not poisonous or noxious.The provisions of this §88.324 adopted December 19, 1980, 10 Pa.B. 4789, effective 7/31/1982, 12 Pa.B. 2382.
