Section 918-282-0150 - Employment Requirements for Supervising Electricians Employed by Industrial or Manufacturing Plant(1) Owners, managers or agents of an industrial or manufacturing plant, hospital, sewer plant, water plant, commercial office building, building occupied by the state or a local government entity or an institution employing individuals who install electrical wiring or equipment shall employ on regular payroll a registered professional electrical engineer, a general supervising electrician or a limited supervising electrician: (a) To supervise, direct or control this work; and(b) Who may also install, maintain, repair, or replace electrical wiring and electrical products as licensed.(2) The general supervising electrician, limited supervising electrician or registered professional electrical engineer may be relieved from responsibility for future work under any permit signed by the supervising electrician or registered professional electrical engineer, if electrician or engineer has left or been discharged from the employ of a licensed electrical contractor or industrial plant, provided that notice in writing of termination is filed with the division within five days by the general supervising electrician, limited supervising electrician or registered professional electrical engineer.(3) The license or authority of the employer to continue with the electrical work shall, without further order or action by the division, be suspended until another general supervising electrician, limited supervising electrician or registered professional electrical engineer is employed and written notice given to the division by the general supervising electrician, limited supervising electrician or registered professional electrical engineer.Or.
