Section 575-085-0060 - Community Service Participant Employee Status(1) A Higher Education Community Service Program student participant is an uncompensated volunteer student employee of the Commission only for the purpose of providing a plan of educational assistance under Section 127 of the Internal Revenue Code. A student participant is not a state or public employee for any other purpose. (2) A Higher Education Community Service Program student participant's work is subject to the direction and control of a faculty supervisor and a job supervisor at the social service agency providing the community service opportunity.
