Section 800:15-1-4 - Open and closed areas
(a)Open areas. The following public waters may be fished by commercial fishermen during open season as assigned:
(1)Lake Oologah. Lake Oologah is closed to commercial fishing from March 1 through September 30, annually. No fishing will be allowed below (downstream of) the Armganon bridge or above the mouth of Salt Creek and Double Creek. The following special restrictions apply:
(A) Mesh size - 4 1/2 inch square mesh (minimum).
(B) Sets - must be run every 24 hours, no more than 1200 ft. set at any one time per licensed fisherman.
(C) Prohibited species - The harvest of flathead catfish, striped bass hybrids and white bass is prohibited.
(D) Reporting - Copies of sales receipts of all fish sold commercially must accompany monthly harvest reports. All game fish caught and released must be reported and all nongame fish caught must be reported whether sold or not.
(E) Effective January 1, 1992 - no additional licenses will be issued and vacated licenses will not be replaced with new individuals.
(2)Grand Lake. Grand Lake is closed to commercial fishing.
(3)Lake Eufaula. All of Lake Eufaula is closed to commercial fishing from June 15 through August 31, annually. The harvest of flathead catfish by commercial fishermen is prohibited. The following areas on Lake Eufaula are closed:
(A) The South Canadian arm, west of a line from the old Stidham to Canadian Road (8 miles west and 4 miles south of Eufaula) and lying about 1/4 mile east of Sam's Point.
(B) The North Canadian arm, west of Rock Bluff Acres.
(C) The Gaines Creek arm, which includes all of Lake Eufaula south of Highway 9-A, is closed.
(4)Lakes Canton and Altus-Lugert. No open season.
(b)Closed areas. All other public rivers, streams or lakes are hereby closed to commercial fishing. Municipal or privately owned waters may be fished only upon prior written approval of said municipality or landowner and the Department of Wildlife Conservation.
