Section 175:10-5-4 - Licensure requirements for health care facilities
(a) No individual, company or corporation may operate an cosmetology establishment without making application for an Establishment license.
(b) Health care facilities, such as hospitals, nursing or convalescent homes that offer services to the public must have the following:
(1) an Establishment license
(2) Board licensee to perform cosmetology services
(c) No Establishment license is required if health care facilities offer limited cosmetology services for grooming and hygiene purposes to patrons and residents of the facility. Persons employed by the facility to perform limited services must be a licensed cosmetologist, or barber or be authorized to practice the healing arts or nursing while engaged in the proper discharge of their professional duties.
