Section 150:55-1-2 - Program participants
(a) The Oklahoma Main Street Program shall annually designate municipalities to participate in the program. There are three (3) categories of participants:
(1) Main Street Small Town program participants shall be selected from eligible municipalities with populations of less than five thousand (5,000) persons according to the latest federal decennial census;
(2) Main Street program participants shall be selected from eligible municipalities with populations of between five thousand (5,000) and fifty thousand (50,000) persons according to the latest federal decennial census;
(3) Main Street Urban program participants shall be selected from eligible municipalities with populations of more than fifty thousand (50,000) persons according to the latest federal decennial census.
(b) Applications for the Main Street Small Town program and the Main Street program may be submitted by a non-profit organization, or an economic development organization. Main Street Urban program applications must be submitted by the municipality.
(c) The number of participants is subject to funding limitations and the quality of applications received.
