I, Mary Fallin, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, hereby direct that appropriate steps be taken to fly all American and Oklahoma flags on State property at half-staff for a period of 30 days, from the day of death, November 30, 2018, to honor the life and legacy of George Herbert Walker Bush, our nation's beloved and honored 41st president.

George H. W. Bush's time on Earth as a son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, military combat veteran, former member of Congress, Ambassador to the United Nations, Chief of the United States Liaison Office in China, Director of Central Intelligence, Vice President and President of the United States, was remarkable and his legacy is substantial and enduring. George H. W. Bush's life stood as a testament to faithfulness, selfless service, and patriotism.

This Executive Order shall be forwarded to the Department of Capital Assets Management, who shall cause the provisions of this Order to be implemented by all appropriate agencies of State government.
