I, Mary Fallin, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, hereby direct that appropriate steps be taken to fly all American and Oklahoma flags on State property at half-staff from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015, to 8:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2015, to honor former Representative John Tomas "J.T." Stites, who passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015.

J.T. Stites served in the Army during the Korean War and at Fort Davis Panama Canal Zone. He was a teacher, coach and principal at Liberty Mound (Bixby) School System. He and his wife were the first co-directors at Carl Albert State College Sallisaw Campus, where he also served as a trustee. He served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 1990 until 2002. His commitment to serve our country, his students, and this state is greatly appreciated.

This Executive Order shall be forwarded to the Department of Capital Assets Management, who shall cause the provisions of this Order to be implemented by all appropriate agencies of State government.
