Section 3361:30-15-02 - Classification: student employees(A) The university of Cincinnati endorses the practice of making student employee positions available for the following reasons.(1) To allow students to earn money which could be used to supplement their income and defray the cost of their education.(2) To provide students with an opportunity to gain learning experience outside of the classroom.(3) To provide students with work experience which could be of value as they enter the job market.(B) The university maintains a distinction between student employment and other university employment. The distinction may include but is not limited to differences in the nature of work, hours worked, rate of pay and benefit eligibility.(C) Student employees shall follow hiring practices for student employment established by the university.(D) Students who wish to become university employees shall follow the hiring practices for all other employment established by the university.Ohio Admin.
